I'm trying to help out the newer players, hoping they get a uniquely theirs, yet competent deck.
Basic info:
When I say koma, I mean how many squares something is.
There are three categories for Koma. 1 Koma is a passive, it gives an ability to someone you control. 2 and 3 koma are support, and they come out to help you, taking one SP. 4-8 koma are people you control and use.
There are three types, power (), knowledge(), and laughter(). P does 150% damage to K, K does 150% to L, and L does 150% damage to P.
I personally recommend a three-person deck. This gives you enough people to hopefully not have your whole deck wiped out (as that loses you 2 points in addition of the 1 point you lose from dying), yet the people aren't too weak to survive on their own.
Instructions:
Patch it to english (haven't used it personally): <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=6270">http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=6270</a><!-- m -->
Start by getting the save file: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=74">http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=74</a><!-- m -->
The bottom left icon is where you make decks for competition.
You press new, and give it a name. Now, you get to the fun part.
First, you'll need to decide who'll be the base of your team (someone you build around). You press L, then right 4 times until the arrow points at ?. Press A, and select the red button. Now, you've filtered for only 4 koma and up, which are the people you can control. Press y thrice, and you'll see the person. Pick someone you like, 5 or 6 squares.
Compliment the person you just picked with 4 koma people. To do that, press L, and go to ?, which means how many koma it is. Limit it to 4. Personally, I think you should find people who complete the types that you don't have. If your base is power, get a knowledge and a laughter, etc...
Now, you need to find someone who heals them. Take off all the filters you just put on (select that filter, then press b). Personally, I prefer either Sanji (One Piece) two koma or 2 koma 3rd girl in strawberry that says ??. Sanji heals girls better, the other is more rounded.
Finally, give your people triple jump. (I find it the most basic thing) If the person doesn't already have triple jump (Lenalee, Eve, Kenshin), you should put a triple jump on them. The bat thing (1 koma) in the football manga, first guy from slam dunk, eve from black cat should be enough for you.
After that, attach Sakura (Naruto, 1-koma) to your main person. She makes bad effects last shorter (static, frozen, etc...)
If you have any more room, you can attach whatever to anyone you wish.
Then, press start to try out your team. After you're done, press start, up twice, and a to get back out.
Battling:
Down is guard, A is jump, b is weak attack, y is strong attack, and x is special (and uses one SP).
down b is an attack that forces them to switch character, down y is a guard breaking attack, and down x is iron guard (If you time it right, when they attack you, they'll get moved back)
Up X is a different special.

Great faq, if you have more time.
Just mess around, and you'll learn the in and outs in no time. Questions are welcome, put them here.
