The Dragon Mask

Heyo people, I've been trolling this forum for a while and decided to finally register and post something. This seems pretty minor but I'm kind of a perfection-obsessed bastard, sorry :(

It's about the Dragon Mask, I ordered a white one for my Black DS Lite (I like duotone stuff :]), and it works absolutely fine as reviewed. But as the perfectionist that I strive to be, it doesn't completely clip on to my DS. The right side is a bit off as oppose to the left which is completely closed when the DS is closed. It's very tiny and I hope the following pictures that my crappy phone camera took is good enough to show it. The question is: do you Dragon Mask owners have this slight problem? Could it be that I somehow applied the mask on in a wrong way? Or should I bet my luck and just get another one?

The left is completely closed, no dark openings as far as I can tell.

Being an owner of more than one Dragon Guard Masks, I know that sometimes if you don't clip it on properly this can occur, have you tried taking it off and placing it back? Making sure to firmly press it in.

Also, I know that over time this occurs, so perhaps it is one in a faulty batch or was sent used, etc. Might I ask where you bought it from?

I've taken it apart a few times and placed it back it. To the point that one time I press so hard my hinge became a bit loose :silent: .
I bought it from the infamous DealExtreme. That's where I bought all my flash kits for my DS. I usually read the reviews to check the genuity of the product I'm buying (so far so good). The casing came exactly as you described and it "looks" the same.

As for the time issue, it was like this ever since I got it.

Love your reviews by the way, they influenced me to get a lot of things that I currently have for my DS. I'm planning to get an E5 for my DS since I'm trying to make it my new iPod with games :idea: /buttkiss

Hmmm, I guess that's just bad luck, but it doesn't look like it should be an issue at all.

As for the E5, regardless of how many accessories you buy for the DS, I don't think you'll get it sounding even close to the iPod. The truth is, MoonShell + DS just doesn't have the quality, it can't even provide a distinct enough sound for the E5 to really boost. Not sure if you really want to go down that rickety path, but if you do, best of luck, and be sure to report back specifying results and exactly what headphones, what homebrew, etc. :)

Well I'll probably use it in conjunction with my new AceKard 2i, DS Lite, iPod earphones, and probably Moonshell 2.5. Let's hope I can actually hear that Russell Peters DPG I downloaded :x
