What to do??

Ok my d-pad's Down button wont work unless you press on as hard as you can for like a minute... This realllly sucks for games like contra! So i was wondering what to do, should i buy a triwing screwdriver and open it up, or send it to a professional (please tell me of a cheap professional!) I think the jelly underneath the button has dislodged itself or it has broken somehow..


Oh and i live in the UK..
