The Playstation 4 was announced a few hours ago, and while information is scarce, the direction that Sony is taking is quite clear. With their acquisition of Gaikai back in July 2012, Sony had one of the major leaders of cloud gaming within their portfolio. Gaikai has obviously become a key part of the development of the Playstation 4, which after today's reveal had a heavy focus on cloud features. The notion of cloud gaming revolves around streaming content ...

With the recent announcement of the WiiU's release date and price, pre-orders have been going on strong and interest is stirring. Priced at $299 and $349 (for the regular and deluxe bundles respectively), the console's release date on November 18th puts it in a great position to eat up competition during the holidays. Nintendo has given us some glimpses of their latest console in the past year; mostly focusing on the revolutionary WiiU Gamepad that straps ...

Ever since smartphones have started encroaching on the handheld gaming industry, there have been analysts that have speculated that portable gaming may soon be obsolete; devices such as the Nintendo DS or Playstation Portable will be replaced by the likes of iPhones and Android smartphones. In the interview, ...
