Nintendo has released Ocarina of Time on 4 consoles at this point, so it's only fair that they are thinking of re-releasing another title. According to an E3 interview conducted by IGN, Miyamoto is not only planning to bring another Zelda title to the 3DS, he is specifically weighing Majora's Mask (N64) and A Link to the Past (SNES). A Link to the Past is a 2D bird's view action RPG, according to IGN it may not be a remake at all but could be a sequel. Majora's Mask on the other hand followed closely on the heels of Ocarina of Time, using the same 3D engine to guide Link in a darker more ominous world.

Both games have incredible support and I'd love to see either one remade, but if I had to pick, I'd have to say Majora's Mask is the one to pick. A Link to the Past has been ported to the GBA and Virtual Console. A good many fans already have it on their cellphones or consoles, but Majora's Mask hasn't had that kind of exposure. If Nintendo wanted to remind fans of a lost gem, Majora's Mask should be the one they put onto store shelves. What do you guys think?

The prices for the old DS lineup are finally dropping, I don't think we'll see prices go much lower than this. The DSi went from $149 to $99 and the XL dropped from $169 to $129. For comparison, the 3DS currently retails for $169 which means that the pricing on the devices finally make sense. The DSi and the DSi XL are finally priced at a point where it is reasonable to purchase one rather than go for Nintendo's latest flagship.

Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir is a 3DS horror game that has been ripped apart by reviewers and gamers because of the need to play the game in a well lit area. For users with a tablet or something similar, this is easily resolved. The game has players using the 3DS's outer cameras to scan for ghosts around their surroundings. The game also includes a book that is heavily tied to the storyline in which players interact with its pages through the Camera Obscura. Unfortunately the 3DS's cameras are not able to pick up enough details in low light, and so the game recommends playing in well lit areas rather than in the dark.

The Diary of Faces contains 16 pages. Throughout the game you will be looking for hints within the pages and interacting through the cameras.

By placing scans of the AR book, even on the dimmest settings of any tablet, it is very visible through the 3DS cameras especially in the dark. The requirement of a well lit room is solely for recognizing the book. All the other aspects of the augmented reality are heavily dependent on the gyroscope and accelerometer to detect a change in direction. As such, there is no further need for light and you can play the game just fine in the dark so long as you have the "Diary of Faces" on a monitor of some sort.

Phoenix Wright 123HD was recently announced in Capcom's Phoenix Wright event. Capcom was surprisingly swift in releasing the game, only a few days later it was uploaded to the Japanese iTunes appstore. Unfortunately it is only in Japanese, no other versions have been released or even announced yet.

I have a Japanese iTunes account, so I had the opportunity to download the game and check it out quickly. I had a bit of a play through and it remains very faithful to the DS versions. For the unaware, Phoenix Wright is a game that was first published on the Gameboy Advance in Japan. The main character, Phoenix Wright, is a defense attorney, and the game involves both courtroom trials and investigative sequences in which you prove your client innocent. It is a simple game of looking for relevant clues and contradictions to unravel witness testimonies, but the success is largely from the excellent stories, over-the-top characters and unique gameplay. It was ported to the Nintendo DS where it received such phenomenal success that sequels and spinoffs were released.
