Well this is my first blog im writing on this site, so forgive me if it's not great. Anyways im going to talk about my white PSPGo. I got it around November(?) last year and have been using it to listen to music most of the time.
The device is sleek and looks great. It's light and you can actually fit it in your pocket(unlike the older psps and the ds). There are some new features added to this device. One feature is that you can make a "quick save" whenever you want during a game. Say that you are in an area where there are no save points, and you really want to just close the game and listen to your music or something. You can just do a "quick save" and return to your XMB where you can run your music, or video or whatever you want. After you want to go back to the game, just under "Games" you can see a quick save with the still image of where you stopped the game. Once you press it, you automatically pop right back to exactly where you were in the game.
Another feature is that bluetooth is added to the pspgo, I have never tried transferring data with it but i did use the bluetooth when playing games. You can connect it with a ps3 controller and use the controller to control your psp(playing games, surfing online etc.)
The feeling when you hold the pspgo is quite alright. Some people may have experienced aches but i've been playing God of War COO(beating it in normal and halfway through godmode), and I felt quite natural playing it; no aches or anything(I got aches from playing ds games).
The screen of the pspgo is (i think) about 1/2 inches smaller than the other psps. I didn't really care that much but if you really prefer bigger screens, then this is a negative. However, the pspgo screen is really nice and the colours are more vibrant.
The worse thing i found about the psp is that there is a lack of games for it. And it's even worse when on the pspgo, you can ONLY get/buy games on PSN, because the PSN doesn't even have ALL the psp games. Some examples are Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. I advice anyone who is a hardcore gamer not to get this device, it's just pissing to look for the game you've been researching and not find it on the PSN. Talk about "PLAYstation". But more and more games are being added to the PSN, such as MGS PO(which i just got), and DJ Max Fever.
Anyone who previously owned the psp probably has a library of umds. If this is the case, do not buy the pspgo. You can't insert any umds, Sony just took out the umd feature all together to make the device smaller.
The worse decision sony made is to set the price point of the PSPGO at $249.99. That's more expensive than the Xbox and Wii! And 50$ less than the PS3! I don't think anyone has money to burn so anyone with a brian will skip it. Well, y did i buy it? I got it 100 dollars cheaper on craigslist. pretty sweet lol. I'm mainly using it as a music player. considering i got it a lot cheaper than an 8 gigs ipod touch and that the pspgo has a 16gb built in space to put music/movies etc. I'm pretty happy with it.
I'll post some pics of my pspgo to show you what it looks like.
