With the funds provided by our generous sponsors, www.4coolday.com, www.0shippingzone.com and www.gamekool.com, I am proud to unveil the fifth revision of DSDatabase on New Year's Day. I want to personally thank them for their help, not simply from their funding, but their steadfast support for all of our projects. Be sure to buy from them if you have the chance!

DSDatabase was originally a simple HTML site where I dumped videos and reviews, but it has grown fast over the last 3 years, and especially in the past year. It expanded to a forum, and then a blog, and now a full publishing suite. This 5th revision was perhaps the most labor intensive conversion we have done, but the results speak for themselves. Unfortunately a few things need to be noted by our readers. Please do enter this thread.

This revision of DSDatabase (the 5th) aims to change the fundamental structure of DSDatabase. There is no longer a limit on the amount of bloggers, nor are the requirements as strict. Any member can now post onto the DSDatabase blog with their insights and experience. There are no longer obligations or tests, you can even post a blog right this minute.

At this minute, it is a little premature to say specifically what incentives I can offer for bloggers. But it is safe to say that there will be raffles specific to DSDatabase bloggers, perhaps even awards for the best writers. Unfortunately I will have to determine the success of this plight before concretely offering a reward structure or something along those lines.

First off, welcome to DSDatabase V5, and Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoy the new look, the obvious absense of spambots, and perhaps, if you had the chance to try, our new blog system.

So with the start of 2010 we are going to do yet another raffle. I have 1 copy of Left 4 Dead 1 to give out and 2 Heroes of Newerth beta keys. If there are enough people, we will add even more prizes! That's right, we are giving out computer games! This raffle was not meant to celebrate the new years alone, but also the fact that we have members with diverse interests. Hopefully, as our blog opens to the public, we will have articles that are just as interesting and unique as our members.

Entering the raffle can't be any simpler, no registrations required, not much thinking, and just seconds of your time. So I hope you'll participate in our first raffle of the new year, and the first raffle hosted on this new board!
