Quake DS is a homebrew project that has been developing for quite a while now.  A while back the developer showed a video of the engine running as well as a few pictures.  Today he released the pre-release version with a fully capable engine running at full speed or near full speed.  It is a great little game, and definitely shows how far Nintendo DS homebrew has come.  I can only imagine good things coming from this release.
