Chinese New Year Raffle Winners!

Hiya everyone, I apologize for the delay, I know I’ve been saying that a lot recently, but cutting out 159 little slips with email addresses is really no easy task, and even worse is checking all the entrants for duplicates.

Anyways, I want to thank you everyone for joining, and I most definitely need to thank the EDGE team for sponsoring the tournament.

So to cut to the chase, you can all view the video right here:

It seems that the quality of the video isn’t that great and you simply can’t read the names, I am looking for a new free video hosting site since Brightcove is gone and the quality of YouTube just isn’t that great. So I guess you’ll just have to trust me that I’ve included your name, if you want to check or something give me an email, I’d be more than happy to send you my excel file, etc.

As usual, I won’t be writing out any names specifically on this post. You can view the winners on the first comment of this post if you want to save your time.

Anyways, congratulations to the winners, this time around I’ll be pretty strict on deadlines. You have until January 30th, midnight PST to reply to my email, if not, your prize will be passed on. Hopefully I can get things rolling again on DSDatabase. 🙂 (hint hint)

Hooray! I have never won the lottery. Until this time. Maybe I’m a lucky guy.

W007! Just nice to finally see me appear in one of the drawings.

BTW: PV, why not use tag each person to their comment order and reuse slips of numbers for future raffles?
Just printout a list of names-to-numbers, show the removal of invalid numbers, and off you go!

wow vizier thats a lot of work, you had to cut a lot of paper, nice work, and gratz to the winners

Ummmm the thing is about the paper cutting is that very few are actually repeats. I’d say out of the 159 people, I’ve never seen 100 of them or so. I guess I could reuse the slips of paper, but I’m thinking of just using a random generator in the near future.

Cheer up, Hani! You can win next time. It’s absolutely posible.

PharaohsVizier, I know cutting this slips is boring as hell but presentation they create is priceless. When I saw my email appeared from that red box I was stunned. Computer random generators lacks emotions and realism imho.

I know what you mean, always more exciting to see a video with little slips and such. There are a number of methods I’ve considered at the moment. I think another cool one would be simply to draw numbers, like pre-made numbers that I can reuse every time, and assign each person a number.

But nothing beats having your name pulled out, especially out of the whopping 159 names. 🙂
