There is a new DSi update floating around in Australia, Europe and Japan that is blocking out ALL DSi flash carts. Currently it is not yet available in North America, but please be aware that this update BLOCKS ALL DSI FLASH CARTS.
I will update this post when or if there are updates for flash carts to regain their ability to boot.

EZ Flash Vi (first updatable cart with an update)

R4i Gold Box (they are not updateable, you need to purchase the news one that are being released from August 10th and on)

R4 Ultra (stole the update from the AceKard team, but works)

The update WILL come to North America in due time, so be wary! Apparently the update speeds up the internet web browser (I thought this was an independent update earlier on), makes the camera work better and adds support to upload photos directly to facebook. Not sure how much use that’ll be considering they should all be minor upgrades asides from the facebook aspect.
You can always choose to not update for now. You will retain all the features, but have no access to the DSi shop.
It seems that EZ Flash team has announced that they have begun work, and someone on the AceKard forum has also stated the work has begun.
So please do not update to 1.4 or you will not be able to use your cart. Carts such as the EZ Flash Vi and AceKard 2i require a working DS to update, so it would not be wise to update your DSi then wait for your cart’s update mechanisms.
