iPlayer Giveaway – Sponsored by GameByGame!

Our newest sponsor GameByGame is generously offering a DSiPlayer flash cart for a free raffle. They’ve been with us for no time at all and are already willing to shell out some serious prizes, so be sure to support them as well as supporting us by visiting this site, participating in this raffle and of course buying from GameByGame.com. And the most impressive part of this raffle is the fact that it takes practically nothing to participate, you quite literally provide your email address and you are good to go.

GameByGame and DSDatabase

What is the iPlayer, and why would you want it? [Read the DSDatabase iPlayer Review] Well if you haven’t been with the scene lately, be sure to check it out. This $50 flash cart is one of the most expensive out there because it is completely unique. So if you have an AceKard 2i or an M3i Zero, getting the iPlayer is still completely sane. The iPlayer is not a flash cart designed to play commercial games, instead it focuses on homebrew and multimedia, and it does it well. With the latest news that the iPlayer now has the one and only GameBoy Advance emulator, making it the ONLY GameBoy Advance solution for the Nintendo DSi, as well as the only cart that can play avi, mp4, flv and other video codecs without any conversion, the iPlayer is without a doubt a unique cart.

How do you participate in this raffle?
It is simple, you simply reply to ANY DSDatabase blog post with a valid email address during the allotted time. You do so by filling out the form at the very bottom of the page. If you are a DSDatabase member, just post anything, and I will use the email address tied to your account, if not, then you will have to fill in your email address in the email address field or just include it in your post. Now it isn’t necessary for you to post anything else, but I’d personally prefer a sentence or two rather than blank responses. 😛  So recap:

– reply to any blog post
– make sure there is a valid email address
– that is ALL you need to do

I also encourage users to post on our forum and subscribe to the DSDatabase YouTube channel. I may or may not decide to reward those who do. 😛

“I’m a GameByGame customer, shouldn’t I get anything in return?”
GameByGame must be really nice to their customers because they’ve given me very specific instructions on how to treat past customers. That’s right, if you have ordered from GameByGame in the past, you get a BONUS. Here are the instructions they gave me.

– If the winner of the raffle is a previous GameByGame.com customer, then GameByGame.com will include a bonus item. The bonus item will be a surprise item that will be revealed after the raffle closes.*
– If the winner of the raffle has already purchased an iPlayer from GameByGame.com, then the winner can either choose an 8GB microSD memory card, M3i Zero, or AceKard2i. The winner will also get the surprise bonus item.*

* The winner must have previously purchased item(s) from GameByGame.com prior to the close of the raffle. The winner of the raffle must provide his/her name and order number so that his/her information can be verified.

To clarify, purchases made right up until the day the winner is announced are still counted for this bonus.

So from what I understand, if you are a customer and you win, you will get a bonus item. If you happen to be a GameByGame customer AND you bought an iPlayer, you can still enter the raffle for a prize other than an iPlayer (I’m fairly certain you can still pick the iPlayer). Obviously at the end, evidence must be provided, but I thought it was really kind of GameByGame to think of their loyal customers like that.

Rules:
– Raffle is open from September 23rd, 2009 at 6:00 PM PST to October 11th, 2009 at 12:00 AM PST (which is midnight, you have all of October 11th to enter, but once it becomes October 12th, no more entries will be accepted).
– First name selected will be the winner, second name selected is the backup winner, who will only receive the prize in the event that the first winner fails to respond or denies the prize.
– The winner has 3 days to respond to the email sent out on the day the winner is announced. If he/she fails to reply in time, they forfeit the prize to the second winner. In the event that you know you cannot respond, simply send me an email before the winner is drawn stating so.
– DSDatabase and GameByGame reserve the right to disqualify anyone suspected of foul play, lack of courtesy and respect, and anything bad, as well as change the rules as they see fit.
