The PS3 Slim is finally OFFICIALLY announced. It doesn’t seem like there are many details yet, we don’t know if there is backwards compatibility with PS2 or PS1 games, but we do know that it is supposed to do everything the PS3 does.

The console was announced today in Gamescon 09, and I honestly don’t know what to make of it. I have a PS3, 80GB, and I don’t know if I want to dump it and grab a slim, or keep it as is. The price cut is definitely nice, and it might be enough to get some people buying the console.

Man i was going to get one, but man does it look ugly. Might just stick with the original PS3 instead, just have to wait and see how it looks.

Really? I think it looks pretty decent. I mean the first one was a work of art (asides from the fact that it was huge and heavy), but this one doesn’t look bad at all.

Nah, that thing is ugly. I’d rather buy the phat version. (Which I did :P)
