It’s been a while since I last wrote something on the blog, so here I go. I was interested in writing about some of the upcoming releases for the PSP. I know that this site is called DSDatabase, but I just had to inform some folks in case they had a PSP. I was quite interested in some of the releases for the next few weeks. I was quite interested in the release of Warriors Orochi 2, which also was released for XBox 360, Playstation 3, and Playstation 2. It was released last year in Japan for the PSP. However, sadly, the Warriors Orochi release for the United States, scheduled for release yesterday, August 28, came included with PSP Official firmware 5.55 OH NO! I can’t play this game now ! 🙁 Looks like a lot of games are coming with this new firmware 5.55, including Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny, which was released in Japan a few days back. The US version is scheduled for release on 9/01…And now, for more releases to come…Have any of you guys heard of the popular release Disgaea? The sequel Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days is scheduled to be released in America on 9/08. Shit. My first day of school. The game looks interesting to say the least, I loved the DS Disgaea game. I hope it does not come with OFW 5.55. Even worse to hear was the fact that famed PSP hacker Dark Alex has closed his forum, dark-alex.org. This was a kinda crushing blow to the PSP community because this guy made the PSP much better by allowing playback of ISOs, and other emulators. Rumor has it that he is planning another big release of some insane CFW.
Now, on a lighter note, I just got a PSP faceplate from an anonymous someone. I have no idea who it could be. It was a nice red faceplate, but it made button responses horrible and the screen made small ripples during gameplay. So, I’m posting this little paragraph because I’m looking for a replacement faceplate. Now, I want it OEM or as close as possible to OEM. If you guys know anything, please leave comments or PM me. I’ll be happy to communicate. I’m just really hurt that such a nice faceplate may have destroyed my system… whether you guys give me sites, or just information, I’ll be grateful!

I’ve been trying to figure out how to do that, admittedly not my top priority, but I’ll definitely add it somewhere soon.
