I assume you are hear because you’ve bookmarked this page or was directed here by a link. The wordpress blog and phpBB3 forum has moved permanently to the root of our domain, that is to say, at http://dsdatabase.org. All of the posts and work has been forwarded there, so you should be able to find what you are looking for there.
This blog and forum will remain available for now until redirect links are done, and of course when we deem our new board completely stable.
I apologize for any inconvenience, but we’re sure you’ll like the new board better than the old one.
Choo choo! All aboard the spirit train! The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is finally out and I’ve had the chance to play most of it for the past week. Most of you probably said “Uhhh…what?” when you heard the next Zelda would have a train in it. Others may have just done one huge facepalm. I’m here to show you what this game is all about and how it fairs to it’s not as identical twin, Phantom Hourglass. Continue reading to see the full impression/mini review. (this blog post does contain some minor spoilers from the first about 15 minutes of the game)
Hiya! It’s shadowhunter!!! I have not written a blog in a long time, and after reading DeltaBurnt’s blog, I had a similar question of my own. Even though this is an obvious answer to some, to folk like me, it seems a bit more annoying to comprehend. The question is, why is piracy so bad? Read the rest of this entry »
When I saw this game, I thought it looked interesting. I had no idea it’d be released so soon. I’ve heard it being compared to FF, but I’ve personally never played it, so be prepared for a lot of comparisons to Golden Sun!
Halloween is coming up and I promised another raffle. For this ghoulish occasion, we are giving out an EZ Flash Vi cart, and I suppose the black and yellow (possibly orange) design is a perfect fit for this competition.
Anyways, there are two methods to enter this time, either from the blog or the forum for a single entry, or both for two separate entries!
So the instructions:
Blog:
1. Post on this thread with a short Halloween story or a description of what you plan to wear for trick or treating or your Halloween parties. Minimum of 15 words. Please include a valid email address in the email address box, or use an account with a valid email address which is the method I will contact the winners.
Forum:
1. Sign up from the blog or the forum side. Please use a valid email address, that is the method I will contact you.
2. Have a post count of 2 or more, so feel free to post new threads or reply to old threads now (please avoid replying to threads that are very old).
3. Post anything in the signup thread to confirm your entry.
The raffle is open until midnight of October 31st, 2009, Pacific Time.
Good luck everyone!
PS. Feel free to use the banner in your signatures in other sites, etc.
Hello guys, this is shadowhunter93. This is my first review in the big leagues of flash cart reviewing… Kinda nerve racking. This whole review talk is boring me, so let’s plunge into the review. This EZ Flash Vi was provided to me by one PharaohsVizier, my new best friend round the online world these days. It came in the mail yesterday and I’ve been tinkering with it ever since then. I think now I’ve got a good handle on this cart, so let’s get on with the review! Read the rest of this entry »
Thanks to the EZ Flash team, we now have an EZ Flash Vi review up! They seemed extremely confident when they asked me to review the cart, and I was a little worried with their software labelled as alpha and beta, etc, while the old ones were “stable”. But they assured me that it would be worth my time to look at their product, so I did.
And I have to thank them for giving me the opportunity to review the cart. It is most definitely a contender against the AceKard 2i and M3i Zero, one that can fight along side those two carts evenly. I think the cart is UNDERRATED, and UNDER APPRECIATED. Be sure to check this cart out, it may be my new main flash cart.
Just as a taste of what the cart can do:
- The browser is FAST. So scrolling through your games is actually faster on the EZ Flash Vi than the AceKard 2i or M3i Zero
- Load times are about the same, if not faster than the AceKard 2i and M3i Zero
- A pseudo-enhanced menu, it doesn’t look as polished as the CycloDS Evolution, but there is a menu for real time guide, real time save, etc.
- Real time save (nothing special here except that they have it)
- Real time guide (arguably the best one on the market), able to run 2 guides for one game, supports pictures, scrolls fast, but requires a program to format
As promised, I’m announcing the winner right now in a video. I apologize for using excel and random.org again, but 356 slips of paper are just too many to handle.
So what are the chances of winning? Not good, 1/356 which is roughly 0.3%. But then again, someone has to win in the end. Watch the video to find out if you are the winner!
To the winner, PLEASE reply to the email in your inbox within 3 days else you will be forfeiting your prize.
To skip the video, just read the first comment posted below. Congrats to the winners!
Hello again! DeltaBurnt here delivering my first of many expected DSiWare reviews. As you may know already DSiWare are applications you can download from the DSi Shop channel. These applications can have many different purposes, but most of the time these applications are games. DSiWare also can take advantage of the DSi’s new power and two cameras (unlike most retail games). Each DSiWare application costs either 200, 500, 800+, or no DSi points at all (100 points basically equals a dollar). Anyways in this blog post I will be reviewing Mighty Flip Champs!, one of the more recent games from WayForward. Continue reading to see the full review.
What is NDS-GBA Emulator? It is what we all thought was impossible ages ago, an emulator for a slot 1 flash cartridge, allowing a slot 1 cart to run GBA roms. The emulator is created by DarkChen, and his blog is a bit sparse but it has more information regarding the emulator. It runs pretty well, and there are lots of features worth checking out. I’d say this is yet another EXCELLENT reason to purchase an iPlayer. The cart is certainly the most unique out there and I think the team behind it should definitely get at least some credit for being a bit creative and thinking out of the box.
It is such a significant release that I had to immediately update my iPlayer review to reflect this piece of homebrew, the new section can be read below or with the actual updated iPlayer review (updates span more than just these few paragraphs).
