FTRBlogs 3:Phoenix Wright Fans Rejoice!

Hi once again, and thanks for joining me for Fun To Read Blogs Edition 3! This edition is going to be shorter than my previous editions, but important nonetheless. For all of those Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice fanboys and girls, *ahem* PharaohsVizier, 😛 keep reading! I am now pleased to introduce a homebrew game made by one papermario13689 with PWLib. He has been assisted by well known Phoenix Wright Fan site Court Records.

According to the Gyakuten Saiban Wiki page, found http://www.gyakutenwiki.net/w/Phoenix_Wright:_Remnants_of_the_Past, this game features Phoenix Wright after he has lost his attorney’s badge. He decides to relive his glory days of the past by activating the Mason System, a device that has “memories” stored on it, introduced in Case 4 of Apollo Justice Ace Attorney for the DS. Phoenix is trying to restore memories of his past and while using the Mason System, an external device causes the Mason System to malfunction, hurling Phoenix Wright into the days of his past. Now, he has to fight to make sure that his old clients are not guilty, otherwise, he’s stuck in the past. For good. 🙁

This is a direct quote from the Gyakuten Wiki Page, which states that:“Your main goal is to collect enough evidence for the case at hand, but sometimes, you will get a couple of odd items that have something to do with the Mason System malfunction. These will be stored away in your court record until the final case, where you will use these to find out what happened.

Court will use the ever-so-popular “life bar,” and penalties will come in 3 harshnesses. While pointing out simple contradictions with no big meaning incorrectly will result in a small penalty, greater contradictions will bear a more strict loss of the life bar. Sometimes, like in the real PW games, the prosecutors will be happy to add even more to the punishing penalties.

There will also be things like a collaboration picture in the case select screen once you beat a case, and thanks to KSA_Tech allowing PWLib to play .avi movies, there will be introduction videos!” – Gyakuten Wiki.

A YouTube trailer was uploaded and can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWTao2WJFPI

Phoenix Wright will be the only defense attorney available, but Apollo will be available for a portion of the final case, with Miles Edgeworth. (beats me) Franziska Von Karma and Godot (YAY :)) will be alternating prosecutors, but Winston Payne is prosecutor for the first case.

The case names are as follows, and all case information such as length, difficulty, and such can be found on the Gyakuten Wiki linked above.

  1. Turnabout of the Past
  2. Turnabout Meetings
  3. The Returning Turnabout
  4. Turnabout Tempest
  5. Turnabout Remnants

The project is currently going very well, as the progress says:

Current Progress

Story: 100%

Production: 35%

Graphics: 70%

Demo Production: 75%

Trailer: 100%

Anyways, I for one am really looking forward to the release of this game. I’ll be playing this for sure! It sounds really interesting, and I think this game is going to be a huge success! Once again, thanks for joining me for another Fun to Read Blog! Feel free to ask questions about my blogs, no problems with that, and feel free to leave comments! Like I always say, until next time! Stay tuned!!!

note: Thanks to GBAtemp’s Rock Raiyu for providing the information about this game to us!

    Hey everyone:)

It’s me, papermario13689, the creator. Thanks to shadowhunter for making this page.

I’m afraid that I cannot offer a release date, since my daily schedule is constantly changing, and I’m finding days where I cannot even go to my computer. Sorry everyone:(

SPOILER – DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN’T PLAYED TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS

To shadowhunter: Miles Edgeworth took over as a defense attorney for Phoenix when in the final case of Phoenix’s trilogy, Phoenix attempts to cross a bridge to save Maya, when he plummets into a ice cold river and catches a nasty cold. As my final case will revive some parts of this case, Miles Edgeworth will play a short part of defense attorney.
