DSDatabase Christmas Raffle! Spread the Joy!

Happy early Christmas DSDatabase readers!

0ShippingZone.com

In accordance to our tradition of hosting raffles every holiday, our sponsor 0ShippingZone.com has stepped up and gave us three carts to raffle away for Christmas. So first I’d like to thank them, they’ve helped our site grow a lot, so be sure to check out their site for rock bottom prices and great service. They also have a new blog providing exclusive information, reviews and of course new product announcements.

Christmas Raffle!

The Christmas Raffle is our basic raffle with one extra rule added this time around to embrace the holiday spirit. As usual, no registration is required.

The rules:
- The raffle entries are accepted before midnight December 25th PST (entries are still accepted on Christmas Day).
- To enter simply write one phrase or sentence in reply to this blog post describing some Christmas element, perhaps a trip to see Santa Claus, a party, or the gifts you want, etc. You may only get one raffle ticket through this method, however, feel free to post more than once or even in reply to comments of others. In your comment, please include a valid email in the form, for that is the method by which I will contact the winner.
- To earn an extra 1-3 raffle tickets, go out and do something nice for someone and prove it. Make a donation to a charity, volunteer or even something like giving a Christmas present to someone. Proof can quite literally be anything, a picture, video, a webpage, etc, and should be posted in this thread on the forum. Rules regarding multiple entries and receiving more than one ticket are detailed in the thread.

We have three separate carts to raffle off:
1x AceKard 2i
1x AceKard 2.1
1x R4DS

Needless to say they will go to three separate winners. The first person who wins the raffle gets to pick first, the second person gets to pick second and the third gets the remaining prize.

So…. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! And be sure to spread the Christmas joy by doing something good! :)

New Sponsor: GameKool.com

GameKool.com

Today I’d like to introduce to you the very last of our recent new sponsors, GameKool.com. They are another China based website trying to offer rock bottom prices with a high level of service. With a wide variety of gaming devices and accessories, GameKool is worth checking out. When they contacted me, they seemed like approachable people, and are definitely paying attention to what is happening in the scene.

I decided to scope out the site just to see who’s advertisements would be on my site. I was pleasantly surprised to see a live chat support that was actually available, contact forms, etc. They contacted me through MSN, so it seems that is an available option as well. The prices look pretty good on almost the entire selection of products. So I’m sure that a shopping experience with GameKool would be a great one, in fact I’m looking to buy a few things from them soon.

What should you buy from them?
To be honest, I looked at the site and was a little disappointed to start with. Shipping wasn’t free. Then I realized they have a free shipping zone, with a LOT of products in it. Their AceKard 2i carts are $15 a piece, which is nice considering they have them in stock rather than other web shops. The real deal comes in with the combo with 2GB or 4GB MicroSD cards. The same could be said with all their flash carts, they are pretty close to the cheapest price around, and I’m hearing good things about shipping time.

I’m not sure if you guys know what Dreamboxes are, but I was surprised to find them with such a low price tag here. Essentially they are for you to get cable or satellite TV in a manner that costs you nothing and probably won’t hold up in court (cough cough, get the point?).

Get going to GameKool.com already! Asides from flash carts, they have some interesting stuff over there!

New Sponsor: 5thDimensionStore.com!

5thdimensionstore

I’d like to introduce yet another proud DSDatabase sponsor. 5thDimensionStore is based in Vancouver, Canada, so same place where I’m from, and I’m utterly shocked at how they can price their wares the way they do, I’ve been whining about shipping all this time, and yet somehow Jamie from 5thDimensionStore.com is able to offer free shipping internationally.

In any case, they will be helping us from now on with the fees to running this place, prizes, etc. So be sure to help them out as well by checking out their store and seeing what you like. Their prices are really quite good, and they are always online on MSN for great customer service.

What should you buy from them?
Well the prices on the shop are listed in Canadian currency, so keep that in mind. So when you look at their $20 AceKard 2i, it is in reality an $18 AceKard 2i with free shipping. The M3i Zero at $30 (roughly $27 USD) is also a steal. These are INSANE deals considering the fact that they are based in North America so your carts will be shipped out faster than the international counterparts.

So yea, be sure to check them out, they sell AceKards, M3’s, and errrr the R4’s!

0ShippingZone.com NEW DSDatabase Sponsor

We have a new sponsor with us that is excited to work with me, and they are the people at www.0shippingzone.com. They seem like a good store offering cheap prices. They are based in China, so they are competing with several companies that offer the rock bottom prices, but it seems their big selling point is that their packaging time is significantly lower, and their prices are fairly similar to begin with.

0ShippingZone

Right now, they are embarking on a review collection, they are asking for reviewers with some experience to write their comments on each of the carts and create useful how-to videos so that their customers can make an informed decision which is quite honorable. I look forward to seeing the reviews published there, and I’ve already subscribed to their YouTube channel.

Also I thought I’d mention that they are having a grand opening sale that brings a few of their products to prices even lower than DealExtreme, most notably the CycloDS Evolution. So please support DSDatabase by supporting our sponsors! Thank you

iPlayer Raffle Announcement!

I have made a video, the fate of the winner is sealed, however under the request of GameByGame, we are delaying the announcement of the winner by 1 day.

GameByGame

This is a chance for those of you that have the strangest feeling that you have won, or perhaps an odd sensation tingling in your spine to make your purchase at GameByGame.com and take advantage of the bonus prize they are giving out if the winner is a past customer.

Remember, all purchases made up until the post is made tomorrow at noon are fair game and will be counted towards the bonus prize!

Good luck to everyone, I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving (if you’re Canadian I guess). :)

iPlayer Giveaway - Sponsored by GameByGame!

Our newest sponsor GameByGame is generously offering a DSiPlayer flash cart for a free raffle. They’ve been with us for no time at all and are already willing to shell out some serious prizes, so be sure to support them as well as supporting us by visiting this site, participating in this raffle and of course buying from GameByGame.com. And the most impressive part of this raffle is the fact that it takes practically nothing to participate, you quite literally provide your email address and you are good to go.

GameByGame and DSDatabase

What is the iPlayer, and why would you want it? [Read the DSDatabase iPlayer Review] Well if you haven’t been with the scene lately, be sure to check it out. This $50 flash cart is one of the most expensive out there because it is completely unique. So if you have an AceKard 2i or an M3i Zero, getting the iPlayer is still completely sane. The iPlayer is not a flash cart designed to play commercial games, instead it focuses on homebrew and multimedia, and it does it well. With the latest news that the iPlayer now has the one and only GameBoy Advance emulator, making it the ONLY GameBoy Advance solution for the Nintendo DSi, as well as the only cart that can play avi, mp4, flv and other video codecs without any conversion, the iPlayer is without a doubt a unique cart.

How do you participate in this raffle?
It is simple, you simply reply to ANY DSDatabase blog post with a valid email address during the allotted time. You do so by filling out the form at the very bottom of the page. If you are a DSDatabase member, just post anything, and I will use the email address tied to your account, if not, then you will have to fill in your email address in the email address field or just include it in your post. Now it isn’t necessary for you to post anything else, but I’d personally prefer a sentence or two rather than blank responses. :P  So recap:

- reply to any blog post
- make sure there is a valid email address
- that is ALL you need to do

I also encourage users to post on our forum and subscribe to the DSDatabase YouTube channel. I may or may not decide to reward those who do. :P

DSDatabase YouTube Channel

If you guys paid attention to a certain post on the forum, DSDatabase reached a milestone a little over 10 days ago. Our videos on YouTube had a combined total of over a MILLION views. This is certainly no small feat, and some of our staff, especially me_too_lazy were quite proud of it.

1 million views!!!

As a result of this, a new YouTube channel is finally created. Because our YouTube channel was practically non-existent and the fact that I didn’t know how to use YouTube all that well, the amount of subscribers, channel views, etc are fairly abysmal. So, with the launch of our new channel, I call upon ALL DSDatabase viewers to please click into our new DSDatabase YouTube channel and subscribe there. It is extremely easy to browse through the videos offered on YouTube, you can discuss our videos, and I’ll be sure to start talking more in my videos :).

Sorry for lack of blogs…

Hi guys, its shadowhunter. I’m really sorry about my lack of blog postings and fun articles. I’ve been really tired out and I’ve got my final SAT examination on Friday. This test will make or break the rest of my summer. If I score well enough on this test, my parents will let me get a PSP! :) I’ve got the memory card shipping out via DealExtreme and I’m quite tired cuz PSP ISO files are friggin HUGE!

Anyways, I’ll get back to blogging next week, I’m really exhausted with SATs and such. Please wish me luck, because IF i get my PSP, i’ll be sure to play with you guys online.

Until next time!

FTRBlogs 9: New Branch of Blogging and Other News! Pokemon HGSS!

Evening, and thanks for joining me and reading yet another Fun To Read Blog article! This is currently my ninth article of FTR, so I’ve come a long way so far! Anyways, news has been terribly lacking! This kinda sucks on my end because I gathered random things out there on the news for blogging entertainment. The news these days is so droll, not including the typhoon Morakot that struck China and forced one million people to flee the 111 mile per hour hellstorm. I give my condolences to the many people whom were injured or killed and pray that they live and can return to their home. But screw that! Let’s be more cheery! Since there have been no MAJOR news items, I have decided to release a new branch of my Fun to Read blogs, called News Flash! This is to talk about video game news and other eye popping articles! And for those whom eagerly awaited yesterday’s blogs and could not find any, I’m sad to say I was busy and no blog was posted. However, I’m proud to launch Fun To Read Blogs Article 9 and News Flash 1: Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver News!
